Also issues can be created and followed on github.

Well to give an example, darktable (a photo development software)
started with sourceforge. However now all development happens in github.

An organization must be created and then various github users can be
added as members to work on the main repo.

Keeping tuxfamily and github together is a bit hard to  keep them in
sync all the time.

Chris, mailinglist can still be on Tuxfamily, just as the darktable
example I gave, their mailinglist is still on sourceforge, but all git
activity happens in github.
