[proaudio] ffado & Focusrite saffire pro 24

[ Thread Index | Date Index | More lists.tuxfamily.org/proaudio Archives ]

Hi, I just purchased a cheap Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 yesterday. I've got a few days grace to return it if I can't get it working. I just got libffado to compile, and recompiled jackd with ieee1394 support, but now jack won't start at all, even with my on-board sound card. I see at the end of ffado-diag that juju does not support faddo. I thought faddo worked with juju now. The faddo mixer says it can't establish a connection to the d-bus servic. I've never used firewire or ffadoo before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards Cinder

I'm running...

Gentoo on a
MacBook Pro 7,1.
Linux-3.4.9-gentoo-rt17 amd64
libffado-2.0.1
jack-audio-connection-kit-1.9.8

# lsfirewire
fw0: Linux Firewire Juju
fw1: Focusrite SAFFIRE_PRO_24

#ffado-diag
