I'd recommend to use eix:
emerge eix && eix-update
$ eix rt-sources
* sys-kernel/rt-sources [1]
Available versions:
(2.6.16-r29) 2.6.16-r29!m
(2.6.19-r15) (~)2.6.19-r15!m
(2.6.20-r8) (~)2.6.20-r8!m
(2.6.21.5-r20) (~)2.6.21.5-r20!m
(2.6.22.1-r9) (~)2.6.22.1-r9!m
(2.6.23.1-r11) (~)2.6.23.1-r11!m
(2.6.23.9-r12) (~)2.6.23.9-r12!m
(2.6.23.11-r14) (~)2.6.23.11-r14!m
(2.6.24.7-r17) (~)2.6.24.7-r17!m
(2.6.25.4-r5) (~)2.6.25.4-r5!m

Notice the (~) near all versions except 2.6.16-r29. It means that they are "testing" / "masked my ~arch".
Possible solution is to add following line to /etc/portage/package.keywords:
sys-kernel/rt-sources *

This is my first install, it's been a little hairy, but every thing seems to be in order now. I've followed the instructions on the pro-audio wiki and merged layman and subversion etc and I'm looking for the latest RT-sources. On webSVN I see RT-sources ranging from 2.6.16-r29 to 2.6.29.6-r23, but after ...
