I would stay with 64-bit (modern day computing) system then use virtual machines...try VirtualBox, install a 32bit OS to it, and integrate it into your audio setup...use it for your VSTs.  Build a system with a virtualization optimized cpu for optimal vm performance.

Been wondering this myself. Is it worth it to go back to 32bit for VST
plugins? So far that's the only compelling reason I've found to use
32-bit.
