Looks indeed ugly, but ardour2 ebuikds are deprecated.
Please do as the ebuild says.

Are you suggesting that I'm supposed to emerge 'ardour' and not 'ardour2'?

Looking at the revisions I suppose that ardour-99991 is ardour from
CVS while ardour-99992 is ardour2 from CVS? If so I find that
confusing.

Emerging -99992 now. Very strange!

Hi,

As the package name ardour2 is incorrect I moved the ebuild ardour2-9999 (svn)
to ardour-99992 (svn).

ardour-0.99 and ardour-99991 (svn) refer to ardour-0.99xx
both "ardour series" could be installed parallel

btw. ardour-2.0 is released and in the overlay
