Have you tried to install the latest wxGTK ?
wxGTK is available in portage (ref:
http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=wxGTK)
Try to emerge -avu wxGTK
But... a correct ebuild should resolve this problem.
Anyway, a new ebuild is ready for version 0.4 alpha.
Check at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94136, or wait a few
and update proaudio tree :)
