Done.
Good. That's safe for now. If and when we find the problem then you
can try the newer kernel with more confidence.

I'm using the radeon free with an Atu Radeon X550 pci-express.
Here is the lspci -v output

I found it curious that these two name servers gave such different
answers for www.hp.com. Not a problem - just curious:
mark@lightning ~ $ nslookup www.hp.com 80.58.0.33

Dynamic linking on your system is consistent... All done.
Looks good.

Humm......I'm not recommending my flag settings. Just posting them for
you to be able to do some comparisons. AFAICT everything down to the
USE flags is set identically.

The only sort of questionable flag I can think of is that you are
setting lash support in Zyn while I am not. Possibly the delay is
something to do with that? In my case Zyn starts immediately:
mark@lightning ~ $ zynaddsubfx
ZynAddSubFX - Copyright (c) 2002-2005 Nasca Octavian Paul
Compiled: Sep 30 2006 10:11:46
This program is free software (GNU GPL v.2) and
it comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
Try 'zynaddsubfx --help' for command-line options.
Sound Buffer Size = 256 samples
Internal latency = 5.8 ms
ADsynth Oscil.Size = 512 samples
Internal SampleRate = 44100
Jack Output SampleRate= 44100
mark@lightning ~ $
You probably should look over my flags more carefully than I have
and see if you spot any other differences. Maybe I missed one as I had
a bit of a sleepless night here.
Cheers,
Mark
