Hi Frieder,
  Thanks in advance. It's a nice player but it has been important to
use CVS since the stable version gets updated very infrequently. There
was an email yesterday from Tom saying he wants to do a feature freeze
and make a new stable version which others seemed to agree with.

  I think the problems discussed in that bug were long ago fixed in
CVS but most likely are not in the stable release.
