Ironically, the previous hosting (BerliOS) closed its services exactly 13 years ago (31.12.2011), so still, it has been a good run.

Can't remember what was the original reason to move from SF.net but in hindsight, perhaps it wouldn't have hurted to stay there as its storage, code repositories and mailing lists still work after all those years.

Btw it was funny to re-read the old thread with arguments favouring mercurial over git as a more plausible long-term solution. :)

It's a real pity, indeed. I asked about the status of Tuxfamily in the forum
now:  https://forum.tuxfamily.org/post/3380/

I hope we'll get an answer that helps for future decisions ...
