Wouldn't it be easier/better to just take a photo of the motherboard and its oscillators?

I'm not sure it would be precise enough, is there such thing as a label with the exact Mhz value on every osc ? or maybe some ST have an aging clock over time that is different from its orignal value ?

running the program would give the "real" value as it's seen by non working programs, whatever is written on the motheboard.

I'd rather keep discussions archived in the mailing list, as it can be
used as a reference for other people and valuable informations are not
lost, but I will see to contact Jakub directly.

In the meantime, this cpu/mfp clocks subject has already been discussed
in several places over the years, making it clear that several models
existed with different clocks (and Hatari doesn't have parameters to
change those  clocks freq dynamically for now)

The following atari-forum thread had a lot of people testing their
machine and posting their results :

could you ask Jakub to try HWTST004.zip (link in the 1st post or
    attached to this mail)
