Hi

it happens frequently, but in that case I usually add some temporary 
printfs which are better tailored to the case I want to debug, then I 
remove/comment them once problem is solved because I think it's too 
specific and won't really be useful to others.

This requires to re-compile, but that's not really a problem when you're 
trying to debug some parts, since you'tr likely to modify the code anyway.
