Actually Hatari supports the extended ACSI protocol for supporting disks
bigger than 1 GB, see commit d33662b5c5c1 (contributed by Markus Heiden
in 2011).

Well, you could also consider that there are real ACSI devices that
support this protocol extension - it's just that there never were such
devices. So the only disks that could be used with more than 1 GB were
SCSI disks with a special host adapter that implemented that protocol
extension to translate it to the SCSI protocol.
