Maybe it's because of the changes to memvalid variables? have you
tried with fastboot enabled?

yes, turning fastboot on fixes the problem. Does it means emutos
always requires memvalid variables even, if using less than 4MB (2 MB
in my case) ?

EmuTOS' memory test in 0.8.5 relied on the mirroring effect of the
memory banks of the ST that Hatari does not emulate yet. In EmuTOS
0.8.6, the memory test has been improved so that it now also should
detect the memory right when there is no mirroring effect available.

So if you badly want to get 0.8.5 running without fastboot again, then I
guess you've got to implement the mirroring effect in Hatari, too ;-)

No, I don't really need it, it's just the most recent version I had to do some tests.

But if fastboot is required with emutos 0.8.5, maybe we should add a test in stMemory.c or tos.c to force memvalid when emutos is <= 0.8.5 and FastBoot is not enabled ?
