I have the list of game ideas that we collected during Akademy this year (yes, I know I was lazy and didn't type it off), will that be of help?--On Wed, Dec 8, 2010 at 9:28 PM, Eugene Trounev <eugene.trounev@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi Guys,Lately Leinir asked his in the channel:[09:50] <leinir> Hmm... So, you guys think we can get Gluon ready for some sensible kind of use by the end of January? ;)[09:51] <leinir> http://globalgamejam.org/This got me thinking.../me thinks:-What's the best way to make sure a game development library is ready for prime-time?.. Well it is of course -[IDEA style="icon:lightbulnb"] Make a simple, yet cool game with it! [/IDEA]While we are at it we will see what parts of the engine need the most attention right away, and which parts can wait until later. Now, the question is - what game?My personal idea is to make a *simple* yet attractive Hidden-Object-Game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puzzle_video_game#Hidden_object_game)In a nut shell hidden object game is a series of static scenes(screens), where each scene is a separate, self-sufficient puzzle. Solving this puzzle allows you to continue to the next scene. And all of it is linked by a simple, yet compelling story line. The puzzles themselves can be anything - from a "chess puzzle", to a "find the scissors to cut this rope" puzzle. The game of this type does not require a lit of computing power, it's relatively easy and *cheap* (LOL as if we had a budget :P ) to make, and it's all the rage lately! So, what do you think?Best Regards,
