Hi guys!
i've already mentioned it on the IRC channel, but half the people are
missing, so i thought i'd mention it here as well ;) The basics for the new,
drupal based website are up. While this is the case, you will need to do a bit
of hackery* to see it - there is a minor misconfiguration on kollide.net which
causes the wildcarded gamingfreedom website to catch everything pointing to
those domains, so you will have to access the new site through the address
http://gluon.kde.org/ for now. A few things to notice:
1) The theme is not quite right (Ken? ;) )
2) This is not a wiki. We had (very severe) problems with spammers before, and
requiring everybody to register and be approved by an administrator should
should ensure that we don't run into that again. We can still get comment-
spam, but that's more managable.
3) Yup, you'll need to register to add content - just go ahead and do that
now, i'll click the link when i get the emails tomorrow morning ;)
4) Content, content, content - there's roughly nothing on the site now, so
once everybody's started getting registered and such, i shall explain in
another email what my plans are for content... Not to worry, they're not
horrible or anything, i hope ;)
5) Planet Gluon needs content - Sacha and my blogs are added, but Arjen has
one as well, and there are others out there too.
*) Add the line below to your /etc/hosts file:
