For the usplash, I would like do it, but the HowTo in the french ubuntu wiki is not complete, so I'll contact the author for more information :)
I gess I can make one rapidly!

Because i'd already used it some months ago and it works :)

Indeed, the beta release should only have our usplash & background . The global theme will be an E theme (Milky ?).
