To be clear about the problem, without the primitives addon modification, if I run speed at 640x480 on a bigger screen the gameplay is shifted to the top left corner and isn't scaled, but the text is correct.

Primitives and transforms have always been different for me. Paul, what's the reason behind this? For example scaling everything up still results in crisp lines etc?

Yes, definitely have to figure that out. I assume this points at a bug in the primitives addon, which has to be fixed first.
