Re: [AD] Ouya controller support

I’ve been playing with some code based on official git. Joystick is working with the Linux driver as you said. I think the best approach will be to have the higher level joystick driver able to pull joysticks from multiple sources. iOS will likely need regular joystick support in additional to accelerometer soon too, if rumours are correct.

Although that branch works it is still the old method that we will not use. I am working on enabling the Linux joystick driver which works but I want to make a proper implementation for enabling the driver.

I got my Ouya today, and I’ve checked out your new branch. I’m going to try the joystick out as soon as I get my game back in building/working order.

The Linux Joystick driver pretty much works as it is! It's just a few defines in linux/input.h that are missing. At first I got error EACCES when the driver opened the device but adding <uses-permission android:name="tv.ouya.DIRECT_INPUT_ACCESS"/> to the manifest solved it!

The adb shell has a tool getevent that can be used to examine the device in various ways:

shell@xxxxxxxxxx:/ $ getevent -lp /dev/input/event1
add device 1: /dev/input/event1
