I guess what you have there is already ok. In theory the changelog comes
from Allegro's own documentation format in ._tx format, so if you
translate the changes._tx to Italian and put it under external/it/,
running "make depend" then make twice should detect the file and
generate it correctly instead of the English version.

Then you could change the "macro" in index.it to point to the
translation rather than the english version.

Sorry, it's all an overcomplicated mess. The comment about the Spanish
version is because in the old days I would also maintain that,
translating the changelog and everything else.
