[AD] Quitting

I'm just thinking about how to implement the Quit menu item on OSX
(just FYI there's always a menu for every app, even if it has no
windows open) At the moment, it just sends a close event to every
display, and relies on the user to do the right thing. This isn't
ideal. Would it be useful to add a quit event which is different to
the close event?
