for 4.2.x ? why? there hardly be any big development of 4.2.x, probably 
just bugfixes. and msvc6 is still the best compiler to build 
distributable allegro dll (it's much smaller than the one produced by 
mingw and does not depend on any files which are not part of windows 
like newer msvcs do). and no, it's not buggy (after six service packs 
:-) ) as a c89 compiler

for 4.3.x do what you want
