On a related subject, the user receives a notice about building the Apple-specific docs on doing 'make install', whereas the corresponding message for CHM docs appears after 'make', and on every platform. I think CHM is windows specific, should it go into the windows only makefiles?

Minor point, I know, but...

I'm working on a binary installer, just need to iron out a few problems...

By the way, does makedoc have to be so verbose? It gives out pages of output listing each and every file it's read or processed.
