It looks to me from the a.cc post that when you use set_config_file
before allegro_init, this creates an empty config, ignoring the actual
settings in the file. So the problem is more serious (didn't test yet
myself though).
[I sent something similiar before - but it seems it never went
through, trying again with gmail now.]
