I noticed a problem with Allegro's DGA2 driver. On the screen->screen
blit tests in the test program, the system stops responding. The blits
still go on at super-speed but pressing keys didn't stop it, and
ctrl+alt+end or even ctrl+alt+backspace/f1 didn't do anything. I had
to reboot my computer.
Sounds familiar. I can't get the DGA2 driver to go at all in hardware
acceleration mode. With hw-accel disabled the driver works on some
machines (maybe X's fault). It might be best just to disable hw-accel
by default.
Another thing, are you getting lots of newlines in your xterm once a
DGA2-using program quits?
