While this is true, it is also likely that the gain of speed is
rather small in many cases, but the need for a working game is
paramount.
Similarly, I think it would be a good thing to distinguish
between SSE and MMX, for stuff like that for example. After all,
Allegro has a C version of the asm drawing routines, even if the
asm version is likely to be faster.
