RE: [AL] Debugging

The latest. But it happens with previous ones to. I've always had problems
trying to debug Allegro programs using a proper debugger. The Windows effect
of my program just vanishing when something goes wrong is rather worrying I
must say, and certaintly doesn't help when something needs fixing. This is
separate to the debugging crash effect, when things just go crazy (for
example, if I place a breakpoint in my code, when Ms VC++ reaches it, the
system tends to hang).

I didn't mean my message as a proper bug report, although of course I am
willing to help get things fixed. I really wanted to know how I should use a
debugger with Allegro, especially on Linux. I do think that there is
probably wrong with my Linux setup, as I thought debugcode was meant to
throw out the line number when a program goes wrong, and do a core dump.

Thanks.
