Hi.
The new web page (http://alleg.sourceforge.net/allegro/new/) is nearly
finished. There are still a few technical details regarding the build and
the output of the page, but they are minor things which I hope to have
dealt with before this weekend, when I would like to "launch" the web
page.
This "launch" thing would mean replacing the actual sourceforge web page
at http://alleg.sourceforge.net/. Pages within the allegro subdirectory
will be replaced with simple "hey we moved" pages indicating that from
now on the real web page is at the root directory of the server.
While I like to say the web is finished, I still haven't tested all the
binary links (because the links point to future urls, not yet available),
and there might be issues I have overlooked, so it would be a beta
launch, which won't be mirrored yet to sunsite or demon.
If everything goes well, I will do the mirror to sunsite. The demon site
remains to be update by Shawn, I still haven't got his feedback on the
issue but I am positive it will be ok.
The 'this weekend' term is also unprecise, which could happend the
saturday or sunday, of whatever timezone you prefer. If the wip release
happens to be announced on the mailing lists before the web page move,
I will the actual web pages accordingly to reflect the wip release.
