[AD] Eric dib patch

Could somebody apply this Eric's patch?
It has been hanging around for a week

It gives better support for user windows in windows and a new wintest

it also will break windows AllegroGL, but i think it's worth the effort to
modify
AllegroGL as well since this patch makes user windows A LOT more
stable (and in anyway, i don't think broken compability (for a little time)
with windows AllegroGL is a reason not to apply it, since allegrogl should
not mess up with what its supposed to ;)

well, my oppinion is to apply it since it gives very very nice user window
support which could be used to IMPROVE windows allegrogl with
a few modifications to it

thoughts?
