I am probably confused. The SPDX seems to apply to the .h files associated
with the driver, not the driver itself. Use of the driver by a program seems
not to make the useing program a derived work, so there is no need to have a
special license. Perhaps if you told us whyyou are asking and what you want to
do it would make it easier. Of course I might be the only one confused. What
would you like the license to say?

[CAUTION: Non-UBC Email]Bill, the following file is a PPS driver distributed with the Linux kernel:
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/pps/pps.c
It is also released under a GPL 2.0 license:
// SPDX-License-Identifier: GPL-2.0-or-later
However, being distributed with the Linux kernel, the source code falls under the "Linux with syscall exception"
clause, despite the source code comments only referring to GPL 2.
Does anyone know how to contact Gabriel Ricalde to see if re-licensing is permissible?
Thank you!
