3rd-party often refers to dependencies (which are sometimes copied in project
source)... i would prefer avoid using it.
The apache foundation is a multi-project stuff, we are not. (right?). Though i
like the name 'incubator' for the place 'staging and waiting to go in
supported'.
I would suggest 'applications', 'fields' or 'domains' for the other name.
Though i don't like them much, i can't find a proper name. My English
proficiency shows its limits.
