as in last part of gtk3 configuration:

and look at your gtk3 version and the one transmission is compiled
against and also check if these two versions are compatible with the
gtk3 theme you use.
maybe i could help a bit (at least i hope so).perhaps someone more
talkative will bring you even more detailed explanation.
