In a recent email from RMS to the head developer of Parabola GNU/Linux, Nicolas Reynolds, he said:

"El 30/09/10 02:31,RichardStallman dijo:

> mejorar las distribuciones libres ya extistentes."

"Of you ask for it, we will put your poject into the [libre distros] list. But we don't encourage making
new libre distributions. We don't need more libre distributions, what we need is more people working
harder to enhance already existing libre distributions."

Nicolanswered:

sentiros incos usando otra."

"Richard, thanks for replying. We asked to be included in the libre distributions
list few days ago.

I understand your point, and it isn't our objetive to be a new distro (totally
different from Arch). We only provide mirrors and Arch installable images that
do not recommend propietary software. As presentation states [0], we now want
to start new projects based on this initial works.

Arch is different from mainline distributions, and we as users of Arch would feel
uncomfortable using other distros."

I really like SliTaz and I'm learning it in my free time, mostly playing with it and
findingmy way, so takemy words as from whom they come:
SliTaz as a groundbreaking awesome distro. If you have enoughwilling to bring to
life the proposed changes, go on.
1- If you transform yourselves in a %100 libre distro, it would be cool, but if you rather
fork yourselves to a %100 libre twin, it would be cool too.
2- +1 for a RR scheme (in the long term it's a way easier to maintain and support)
3- Cooking packages in a minimal chroot is a *MUST*

I know I'm nowone here but I really like your work and wanted to give my own 2 cents
of feedback.
