[Sawfish] sawfish save all windows locations then restore them?

hi Everybody,

Here is my use case:

i plug in my laptop to my external display, place windows
nicely. Disconnect display, windows have to be moved back into the area
of the laptop display (external size > laptop size). Connect display
again, re-place windows again.

is there a command to save the current location of all windows to be
restored at a later time? It does not need to be persistent across
sessions (i.e. it can work by using window-id).

If not, any suggestions on what would be the best way to implement it?
