You either miss the latest gdk-pixbuf devel-package (it's split-off from GTK+ since 2.24, or it's because of this line in Makefile:

override CFLAGS += @GTK_CFLAGS@ @IMAGE_LOADER_CFLAGS@ @SAWFISH_CFLAGS@ -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED -DGDK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED -DGDK_PIXBUF_DISABLE_DEPRECATED -DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED

comment out starting at -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED and re-build.
