Hi,
I translate http://qelectrotech.org/wiki/doc/xml_struct_elements_0.3 and I see that Orientation de l'élément: Exemple probably isn't correct.
Could you see at it? According to the manual the default orientation of element is the second character here - 'l'est' but the example signs 'le sud' as default orientation.
