[proaudio] Re: error installing pro-audio overlay

ahoy all,

  please ignore this email.  not sure what the problem was exactly,  
but it seemed to have to do with chrooting into the Gentoo system when  
running layman (and svn).  after a simple reboot in Gentoo, no problem.

ahoy all,

  diving into the world of Gentoo+audio, and hit a snag trying to get
the pro-audio overlay installed.  the Gentoo system is a free install
686.  the error i am getting seems to be network related, but i can do
everything else net-wise, but have layman install the pro-audio portage.
the error is:

# layman -fa pro-audio
* Running command "/usr/bin/svn co
"svn://svn.tuxfamily.org/svnroot/proaudio/proaudio/trunk/overlays/proaudio/"  
"/usr/local/portage/layman/pro-audio""...
svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.tuxfamily.org': Invalid argument
* Failed to add overlay "pro-audio".
* Error was: Adding the overlay failed! Possible remains of the opration
have NOT been removed and may be left
at /usr/local/portage/layman/pro-audio. Please remove them manually if
required.

i can ping svn.tuxfamily.org no problem.  simply running the svn command
also results in the same "svn: Can't connect to host
'svn.tuxfamily.org': Invalid argument" error.

  i have searched the mailing list and tried the IRC channel (could not
find it on freenode?).  imagine it is something simple and would
appreciate a point in the right direction.
