GTK is a very good lib and the new releases include not only new features but
also bugfixes, so I prefer to use the system GTK than ardour's bunded one.

The replies of my bug report are very interesting:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263364

It point out to Diego E. 'Flameeyes' Pettenò's blog:
http://blog.flameeyes.eu/2009/03/23/bundling-libraries-the-curse-of-the-ancients

In short, the use of bunded libs is a mess that open the door to linking
problems and security issues. Diego is offering to help Paul Davis with this
problem. I hope that Paul and Diego can find a way to work together so that
ardour can get ride of those bunded libs in some future release.
