Hello all.
Thought I should share this experience with the rest of you.
After emerging kernel 2.6.26.3-r3, I noticed that MIDI messages out of
my USB Midisport 2x2 behaved in a completely erratic way, as was
confirmed by kmidimonitor.
I could have saved me some time by reading this thread on the LAT
list, which states that this particular kernel and USB MIDI do not
play well together:

I have since reverted to 2.6.24.7-r17, which works fine here.
Feel free to try 2.6.26.3-r3 if you do not use USB MIDI, of course ;-)
