[proaudio] 2.6.19-r15 fail to link vmlinux

I cannot successfully compile the 2.6.19-r15 kernel. I try both with a .config
that was working fine before and after removing-remerging the whole kernel
sources and a new from the scratch config.

I get the same error every time:

  UPD     include/linux/compile.h
  CC      init/version.o
  LD      init/built-in.o
  LD      .tmp_vmlinux1
ld: .tmp_vmlinux1: section `.vsyscall_0' can't be allocated in segment 1
ld: final link failed: Bad value
make: *** [.tmp_vmlinux1] Error 1
