a) We are quite low on manpower these days... Frieder, Dominique and me
seem all to be quite busy (at least I am for sure) and no others stepped
into maintainance for the overlay even after Frieder requested that
from the user-base.

so b) maintaining a dev kernel is quiite an overkill. On gentoo you
are forced to build your own kernel anyway, so it's no big deal to
apply the -rc and -rt patch to the source tree yourself.
