i need to patch alsa-lib 1.11 for multi-pcm and i don't know how to do it ! 
can someone walk me thru it please ? i've got the patch off John Riggs great 
site;would be great to have the alsa-lib patched for this anyway. the problem 
still exisits even in the 12-r2 package according to John .
