[non-daw] *.peak files > 10x .wav

Hi Jonathan,

I was hoping to use non-daw to edit some 2 hour sound files down to
song length files, but apart from the fact that even small files
play silently; after pasting in a ~1.3GB file, the .peak file grows
and grows. I decided to close it when the size reached 10GB, but it
wouldn't, immediately. Soon though, the GUI closed and I received
the "Your fun is over" message, but it wasn't. I had to manually
kill a remaining non-daw process. which was still increasing the
size of the peak file.

Below is the session output and some other information. I must say
that, if these problems can be fixed, I think non-daw will be the
best Linux application I'll find for my particular intended use,
and I thank you for it.
