Hi,

yes, exactly, this is about the issue with monochrome monitor emulation, not about ST-high Falcon mode on color monitor.

Falcon supports a real SM124/144 via the DIN13 adapter. No duochrome there :)

Hi,

is that really a bug? I mean falcon doesn't have a monochrome but duochrome display, you are free to set whatever colour you want in its palette registers. So maybe they are just uninitialised / initialised with a different colour than the author anticipated.

Hi,

I just came across interesting Hatari bug when testing STDOOM:
https://github.com/indyjo/STDOOM/tree/master#readme

If I let it run the demo under Falcon + mono monitor:
hatari -m -s 8 --trace os_base --machine falcon --fpu 68882 stdoom20.tos

Damage to the protagonist, and picking up a health bonus, which cause
red and green flashes on the screen in color modes, showed colored also
on Hatari emulated *monochrome* monitor.

Further testing showed it happening also e.g. with Nibe2 game, see
attached pic.
