Looks like a bigger change. I think it should rather go in after the
v2.6 release.
What an unfortunate timing. The mentioned situations which this patch
aims to fix are definitely very noticeable and I'm sure a lot of Atari
devs would appreciate a new release with this feature in (as opposed to
waiting another year for 2.7...).
Personally I build Hatari from sources but I'm sure many people don't
(esp. when on Windows).
The patch seems quite local, maybe it's worth the risk? And there's
still 2.6.1 possible. Just my two cents.
Hi
the patch doesn't look too intrusive, but as a release date is close, I
think what could make the difference to include it now or later is
whether this patch can be extensively tested by several people (with
"real life" situations) before 2.6 is released ?
If so, then it might be possible to include it, but if not I'd rather
postpone it for later (whether it's 2.6.1 or 2.7).
Personnaly I'd rather include it fully tested in 2.6.1 (if such release
should exist) than adding it now to 2.6 and realize later that not
everything is working (because doing a 2.6.1 release just for this would
be time consuming).
So, who's volunteering to test this a lot ?
