As long as Hatari does not emulate any VME hardware, i don't see a reason for it. Especially, it might stop some programs to work when you try to test them without TT-RAM. If users want to, they can always limit the ST-RAM to 10MB themselves.

I agree, Hatari allows several ways to add more RAM than what real HW can do (for example on STF you can add much more RAM). Some RAM size are not compatible with plain STF (ie max 4 MB), but some RAM size are possible when adding external board/chips, so all in all, I think we can let the user add as many RAM as he likes, as long as it doesn't collide with reserved region.

At least, we could add some warnings for such case to let the user know that the settings are not "compliant", but if so let's do it after 2.6 is released, because doing a full list of all possible RAM size configurations for all machines can require quite some work and research.
