Hi,

Does it help if you use:
	https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDL_PauseAudioDevice

To pause audio buffer playback while emulation is paused
(i.e. doesn't fill audio buffer)?

Hi

There is a big bug with sdl2 on Macosx. When you click a menu, chunk of sound still playing, although the emulation thread is paused. So if you do that will Hatari is playing music, you will get awful noise...

I cannot see how I can deal with that... It didn't happen with SDL1.

Hi!

My builds are built with both SDL1 and SDL2. Is there any reason to
continue with SDL1?

Hi

under windows and osx, I don't think sdl1 is still useful as no one reported performance loss since sdl2 is here (on the contrary it improved osx version)

Under linux, some distros might still don't ship sdl2 (but I think we can ignore this after the next release).

More importantly, there's a bug in SDL 2.0.4 for linux where the alt key is not correctly recognized, so you can't use shortcut under Hatari. Thomas reported this with a patch to their bug tracker, I think 2.0.5 should be out soon (they manage to release even less often than we do :) )

Regarding your build-bot, I think you can remove sdl1 from your scripts ; when Hatari 2.0 will be released, the prebuilt binaries for OSX / Windows will also use sdl2.

Nicolas
