I was testing the development version and I decided to play Dave Munsie’s Frantick. I have the version that contains the FRANTICK.DAT file with the DMA sound. Unfortunately, even to my ears, the DMA sound appeared to be incorrect compared to what I heard in the release version of 1.9 and, most importantly, my friend’s Mega STE.
After some investigation, I found that if I set Hatari back to STE instead of Mega STE, the sound was correct again. Is there part of the Mega STE that is not currently emulated by Hatari that would impact DMA sound?
