Hi, I'm currently in hollidays. Thanks a lot for the acia emulation, nice work. Does this mean that now, it'll be easy to add the 6301 emulator I started last year ? (I think it will be easier now).
Hello,no, it won't make it easier or more difficult ; it's just a better split between acia and ikbd, with proper serial protocol, but the whole hd6301 emulation is not really impacted by this.
I'll have to give a closer look to your code for the DSP, as the DSP Host<---> CPU and the DSP SSI<---> CPU are also parallel and serial interfaces. (one is running at 8 Mhz too). Maybe there are some ideas to share for the both chips.
I don't think DSP and CPU are using such simple interfaces as the one in the acia. It only supports very low bit rate between "old" 8 bit compoonents, there're better way to link modern components like a cpu and a dsp (but I didn't look at the dsp datasheet, maybe I'm wrong)
