Thanks, Domenico. I think so too... but it, moreover, works well. Moreover, this is the stable version in Ubuntu 14.04... I don't know the procedure to substitute it with a newer version. How could it be done? Thanks beforehand for your help!

I have had to finish the process through ctrl-C.

I have added blank space with \&[\vspace*{0.5em}]. I have tried to do the same thing with cm and mm or with baselineskip, etc.... but I have never obtained the distance I'd wish: I want only one line in blank (at most 0.5 cm). The distance, in fact, I obtain is always bigger. Where could be the problem? It would be fine that this possibility were provided by the same stanza definition, for is normal to add a certain blank between stanzes... Isn't it?

Since we have started our conversation via email, perhaps it would be better to mantain this communication so. But, if you think in a certain moment, that determinated informations would have to be comunicated to the other list -in order to improve the program-, let me know and I'll write a note about the particular problem.

It produces an error message. I think your crash is from your GUI. Try to run the bad code direclty with the terminal and let me know.

With \stanza, the parallelism is made line of verse by line of verse, while with astanza the parallelism is made atsanza block by astanza block.
I think, however, than the with the shiftedpstarts option, the astanza tools is not required any more, but I am not exactly sure :-)

Use \vspace inside \newverse optional argument or \&. Read § 8..8 of the reledmac handbook and look on the file example/4-reledpar_verse_text_between.tex
