I had a grand plan for the stable releases, but it won't be done quickly... I suppose we could release a bugfix 5.0.11, with this patch included. Are there any other game-breakers that should be fixed?

Sounds good. Still builds, examples run on OS X 10.6. Most likely still
builds on the latest, albeit with a lot more deprecation warnings (but
that's nothing new.) :/
